The Influence of Combat-Related Traumatic Injury (CRTI) on Heart Rate Variability (HRV)

Hypothesis

Based on the literature review, it is hypothesised that the injured group would have lower Heart Rate Variability (HRV) than the uninjured group.

Summary

Using the baseline data of the ADVANCE study, this project aims to explore the reliability of ultra-short-term HRV derived from arterial waveforms using the Vicorder data and identify differences in HRV in the injured vs the uninjured groups. The influence of potential mediating factors will also be investigated.
